Yesterday we visited the Wolfsonian to study the "Thoughts on Democracy: Revisualizing the Four Freedoms" poster exhibit curated by Steven Heller. Our host, Regina Bailey, the Wolfsonian's assistant director, special projects and academic initiatives conducted a lecture explaining the project to the FIU graphic design students.


"Sixty contemporary artists and designers responded to the Wolfsonian's invitation to create graphic works that express ideas at the core of American democracy. Each was asked to consider Norman Rockwell's visually moving painting from 1943 that conveyed the meaning of Franklin Delano Roosevelt's "Four Freedoms" speech to Congress and the American people."...
