Crystals and Rocks

Crystals and Rocks

My collection features several different crystals and rocks that I have collected over the years from around the world. From my hometown of Miami, Florida to the wild forests of New Zealand. Each rock was collected directly from it's natural surroundings and chosen based on aesthetic appeal and physical state. They range from the smooth and slightly iridescent rocks located by the icy Fox Glacier to the rough, dark black volcanic specimens located by the infamous Mount Ngauruhoe. Most have also rested at the bottom of oceans like the Gulf of Mexico and Pacific or been shattered by the steps of wild horses and buffalo in Northern Florida. Following suit are my many crystals. Each crystal also carries a story and deep history with it. Amongst them are a pair of amethyst points, traditionally believed to guard against negative thoughts and instill a stable mind. Each came from a separate location, New Zealand and Germany, yet bare the same traits. Quartz grown from small farms in New York to raw jade from the Southern Alps. This collection offers a variety of natural minerals and stones that when paired with a knowledge of their history, creates an interesting story and artwork.
